Healthy Ways PULLING TOGETHER 2015 Final days are upon us for preparation for this years journey.  A reminder that Pulling Together has been going green so we request that all participants bring your own Mess Kits – Utensils, Cups, Coffee Cups, Plate, Bowl and Water Bottles (1/2 litre -1 litre – something that can be tied to your gear in the canoe).
Safety Equipment– each day the skipper will be checked by our Safety Officer to ensure each canoe, and paddler is appropriately outfitted.  Any questions on obtaining equipment – radios, first aid kits ect – please contact us at Email PTCanoesosciety (or use form below to send email) and we can provide specifics. Individual registrations need to be sent in by June 19th, 2015 Skippers Meeting: June 14th, 2015, 4 pm-6 pm approx., @ RCMP E Division Headquarters at 14200 Greentimbers Way, Surrey, BC – PT Board Members will meet you at front lobby.

Pulling Together Canoe Journey 2015 Registration-Itinerary – Skippers Meeting

For those of you looking to register for the Pulling Together Canoe Journey 2015 – many may have already received their registration form from their Canoe Family Skipper/planner, but we have the form available below – instructions are included in the form (For ease of submission – this version of the form is fillable).

Individual Registration Form 2015-Final-FILLABLE

Submission for form & fees are required by June 19th, 2015 to allow for the planning committee to ensure enough supplies and logistical requirements are rented, ordered and planned for one of our biggest journey’s yet. Last count was 25 Canoe Families!

Skippers Meeting – **Confirmed Location** RCMP E Division Headquarters – 14200 Green Timbers Way, Surrey, BC. Media room – Pulling Together Canoe Society Board members will greet you in lobby.

June 14th, 2015 Sunday 1600 hours (approx 2 hours) is the planned Skipper’s meeting – all Skippers and Canoe Family organizers are required to attend. This meeting will have the last minute changes to the itinerary, information on the route, and all necessary requirements for Canoes to participate on this year’s journey. Full packages of the route for skippers are usually given out at this meeting.
If you are unable to attend – Canoe Family Skipper or Planner – please advise our Pulling Together Canoe Society (use form below).

Itinerary

PT 2015 Planning Committee have been finalizing locations and the itinerary is expected to be sent out & posted in a matter of days.
 The initial start location on July 2 is at Chehalis (sta’ailes), 4690 Salish way, Agassiz, BC. July 3rd will be the Safety Demonstration, and all canoes will be on the water with crews for an initial pull – all Canoe Families and their participants should be available to participate in the Demo & initial paddle (approx 0900 hours July 3rd, 2015.) Finalized Itinerary is expected to be released in a matter of a few days. 

Below is a form for those of you that have additional questions about this year’s journey we have defaulted it to our Pulling Together Canoe Society Email Email PT Canoe Society– so one of the Board Members or Planning Committee members should be able to provide assistance quickly. 

Canoe Family Registration submissions required by May 30th, 2015

It is that time of year again – as we move into the warmer/canoeing weather, the planning committee of 2015 and the Pulling Together Canoe Society are requesting that all interested Canoe Families please submit their Registrations by May 30th, 2015. The importance of this registration is to provide the planning committee their final numbers to ensure locations and logistics are adequate.

Itinerary – each year our planning committees working tirelessly to ensure a safe and exciting journey – as soon as they have an itinerary completed – we will post on the website and send to our Skippers/Canoe Family representatives – which is why it is important to send in your registration.

Pulling Together Canoe Journey 2015 – Hosts/Planners – Semiahmoo First Nation, CN Rail & Surrey RCMP.

For those of you that attended our Annual General Meeting for the Pulling Together Canoe Society, you would have been privy to the exciting news of next year’s journey.  After careful consideration and agreement by the parties who proposed Canoe Journeys, the Pulling Together Canoe Society is honoured to announce the hosts of the Pulling Together Canoe Journey 2015 -Semiahmoo First Nation, in partnership with CN Rail and the Surrey Detachment (R.C.M.P.).  It will be familiar waters for the Pulling Together Families – down the Fraser River, from Harrison Lake to Salish Sea – Semiahmoo Bay.

Tentative Dates July 1-11, 2014 (as in previous years – once dates/locations are confirmed from Planning Committee we will update the website with this information.   This is a moving water journey – skippers/crews will need to be experienced/trained for this years journey.  Further opportunities for this training/experience will be announced.

We have met with the Planning Committee for this years journey and are confident that this will be yet another memorable journey.  Paddles up!.
